I am not able to reproduce this bug in Safari Technology Preview 160 and it does not insert any new line and it behaves similar to Chrome Canary 110 and Firefox Nightly 110.

Although Firefox Nightly has strange bug, where it does not show caret but "delete" works.

Further, Comment 03 also confirm that it was not reproducible in 2011 as well. I am going to mark this as "RESOLVED WONTFIX". Please reopen with updated test case, if this is still reproducible. Thanks!
