            Bug ID: 249222
Summary: visibility: hidden elements can be selected
           Product: WebKit
           Version: Safari 16
          Hardware: Unspecified
                OS: iOS 16
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: CSS
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
          Reporter: ossman at cendio.se

This bug is specific to Safari on iOS. It is not seen on Safari on macOS, or with other browsers.

If you click and drag, or do Cmd+A, elements that have the style "visibility: hidden" also get selected. This looks very odd as you get strange selection markers in odd places.

You can test it here:

https://novnc.com/noVNC/vnc.html

Start the selection on the "noVNC" text, and then drag the markers around to get free floating selection markers over empty areas.
