To reproduce:
(1) Visit duckduckgo.com and search for some text
(2) Click and drag the padding area on the search field

Expected result:
The search text is selected

Actual result:
The input field receives focus but the cursor is not set at the right position.

Attached is a video of a comparison between Safari (left) and Firefox (right).
