Non-absolute paths in the BASE element's HREF attribute are treated as relative paths relative to the original URI.

*** Chrome Canary 106 ***

Non-absolute paths in the BASE element's HREF attribute are treated as relative paths relative to the original URI.

*** Firefox Nightly 105 ****

Non-absolute paths in the BASE element's HREF attribute are treated as relative paths relative to the original URI.
