Actually now I realize there is a better test case for the bug in my suite. 

Better STR:

1. Visit http://clb.confined.space/audio_test_suite/car_acceleration_high/car_acceleration_high.html
2. Click the first compressed playback button: "car_acceleration_high_44100hz_706kbs_mono_int16.wav"

that showcases the distinct pause between loops.

Made a video to showcase the issue:

The gap between the loops was tested to occur on the following setups:

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
 - macOS Catalina 10.15.6 (19G2021)
 - STP Release 122 (Safari 14.2, WebKit 15612.1.6.2)

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) (same from above)
 - macOS Catalina 10.15.6 (19G2021)
 - Safari 14.0 (15610.1.28.1.9, 15610)


Mac mini (2018)
 - macOS Big Sur 11.6 (20G165)
 - Safari 14.1.2 (16611.3.10.1.6)

Mac mini (2018) (same from above)
 - macOS Big Sur 11.6 (20G165)
 - STP Release 132 (Safari 15.4, WebKit 16613.1.1.5)
