I have removed the focus out listener completely. If you enter a search, then tap to click, the first time it is completely ignored, the link is not followed at all. You have to do a second tap to click to follow the link.

Every other browser properly follows the link on the first tap. So the issue does not seem to be coming from the focus out here :(.
