Bug ID: 226372
Summary: [Media Controls] Releasing mouse pointer over video
after interacting with the volume slider toggles the
video's play state
Product: WebKit
Version: WebKit Nightly Build
Hardware: Unspecified
OS: Unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: Media
Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
Reporter: graouts at webkit.org
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to a page containing a <video controls> element, for instance https://www.ac-paris.fr/portail/jcms/p2_943816/affelnet-comment-ca-marche
2. Once the video is playing, interact with the volume slider and make sure to release the mouse outside of the bounds of the volume slider and over the video
Expected results: the video playback state isn't changed.
Actual results: the video pauses if it was playing and plays if it was paused.
This isn't a recent regression as a build from early October reproduces the issue. I did not look further in the past.
