Please share an easy to comprehend example of how having the focus remain on a previous element after clicking on another is somehow beneficial, especially when it creates an inconsistent behavior between browsers when the topic if explicitly NOT about operating systems. I have an overpriced two-core 8GB under-powered Mac Mini from 2014 (released after they had already released quad cores as the lowest cost Mac Mini previously) that still did not include an SSD while costing minimally twice the price of better equipped PCs that I can test everything on though can not physically upgrade.

Also, please tell me how (if when my mouse stops working and I only have a keyboard at my immediate disposal) that not being able to activate buttons because buttons can't be focused somehow helps me?

I get wanting to have things fit well as an overall platform - I'm the solo-founder of an entire platform myself. The problem: we're talking about browser consistency, not operating systems. Your platform isn't easily accessible due to it's high cost and low compatibility - I don't have the option to operate a Mac the way *I* need to operate the Mac and therefore at best I simply use it to test Safari. Most people don't start out with a Mac just laying around and these inconsistencies will Microsoft's near-monopolist market share reduce the overall user experience on Macs. I absolutely get the seething hatred towards Microsoft and their ... antics however if you believe in creating a successful product or service that competes with counterparts such as other browsers it needs to have meet standards and have consistent behavior.
