VoiceOver on iOS says this "About, Menu item, Menu pop up, Collapsed, Double-tap to expand".

So why should VoiceOver on macOS not speak the haspopup attribute? 

My thought is that if the has popup attribute is too much verbosity then it should not be used in the HTML code if you don't want to hear "has pop up".
