Bug ID: 222596
Summary: Align on Content-Length parser
Product: WebKit
Version: WebKit Nightly Build
Hardware: Unspecified
OS: Unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: Page Loading
Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
Reporter: annevk at annevk.nl
CC: beidson at apple.com, youennf at gmail.com
In 2018 I worked with Matt Menke from Google on what Content-Length parsing should be as the requirements in HTTP cannot be followed. When I picked that work up again the other day I noticed Chrome passes all the tests, which suggests this should be web compatible.
https://github.com/web-platform-tests/wpt/pull/10548 has the work on the tests. https://github.com/whatwg/fetch/pull/1183 has a definition of the parser.
(If you could turn this into a radar and then forward it to the networking team that would be appreciated.)
