Keeping this open for a moment, since we still have not enabled it yet.

We need to decide what perf cost is acceptable for older platforms, and if we should add any additional optimizations like all opaque checking or the extension of that Dan suggested in https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=234492#c19.
