I get the same audio context sample rate in Safari, Firefox and Chrome. The only difference is the buffer sample rate, for the reasons I explained.

I did, two years ago, and it appears to have been completely ignored.

It's great that you're doing all this work to make the Web Audio API more interoperable, but from my point of view, this all has less effect than supporting the same codecs as all other browsers do. The fact Safari can't play the same formats as all other browsers is a huge interoperability barrier and causes a catalog of problems, this being just the latest.
