            Bug ID: 217837
Summary: Multi-line placeholder value rendered as single line
                    on <textarea> element
           Product: WebKit
           Version: Safari 14
          Hardware: Macintosh
                OS: macOS 10.15
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Forms
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
          Reporter: peter.ostrander at gmail.com
                CC: cdumez at apple.com, wenson_hsieh at apple.com

When adding a placeholder attribute value that contains multiple lines breaks to a <textarea> field, the resulting display renders the placeholder text on a single line, rather than respecting the original formatting.
