Clarifying a bit here...
The FDO SDK we depend on currently (19.08) doesn't provide a functional Pipewire. However I think it works correctly in the upcoming 20.08 branch. So whenever this is released the work on Pipewire support could start, there's https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=210926 open for screen sharing. Another bug could be open for camera devices access through pipewire, although I suspect it will just work out of the box.
