Repro:
1. Visit https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/font-variant-numeric.
2. Choose a value other than `normal` in the demo.

Result:
In addition to the intended effect, a very large space is inserted after the period.

Notes:
No repro in STP 95, so this regression was introduced sometime after r251210.
