            Bug ID: 193960
Summary: Extreme memory consumption under continues load
           Product: WebKit
           Version: Safari 12
          Hardware: All
                OS: macOS 10.14
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: JavaScriptCore
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
          Reporter: jonathan.aschan at gmail.com

Hi,
We are experiencing memory issues in our three.js app at a much higher rate in Safari compared to other browsers. The following memory test: https://threejs.org/examples/webgl_test_memory.html shows what we are experiencing. For me the test stabilizes at around 2GB memory usage in Safari 12.0.1 on my MacBook. Safari will also show the following message: "This web page is using significant memory closing it may improve responsiveness of your mac". On iOS the demo crashes for me with: "Total canvas memory usage exceeds the maximum limit (256MB)."
