                    entire monitor

Screenshot of bug

Fullscreen video sometimes fails to use the entire monitor. Basically, when fullscreening a video on youtube.com, sometimes it works fine, but often it just fails to fullscreen properly and gets stuck in the semi-but-not-really-fullscreen state shown in the attached screenshot. The screenshot is weird because it doesn't show what was displayed on my screen at the time of the issue. But it kind of shows the bug anyway. It shows the web page with embedded youtube video, which was not visible at the time the screenshot was taken, as the fullscreen video was shown instead. But the fullscreen video covered only the portion of my monitor shown in this screenshot: the gray background around the bottom and right-hand sides of the monitor that aren't supposed to be there are the same as what was displayed on my monitor.

I think this is a semi-recent regression. There has always been a yucky awful transition from non-fullscreen, via this partial fullscreen with the video content briefly displayed in only the top-left portion of the screen, to real fullscreen. But I think it's quite recent that it gets stuck in the transition state and never expands to real fullscreen. It's happening fairly regularly to me now.
