I can confirm the issue, and there are no error/warning messages in the
Web inspector console.

One more detail: Using the keyboard to select an item from the popup with
the arrow keys and then pressing “Enter” to select it *does* work. This
points to some mouse handling issue.

Also: Clicking the input field (without modifying the search terms entered)
pops up the completions again, and then choosing an element with the mouse
works.
