Bug ID: 183900
Summary: [GTK] Middle paste in editor mode unreliable
Product: WebKit
Version: WebKit Local Build
Hardware: Unspecified
OS: Unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: WebKit2
Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
Reporter: mcrha at redhat.com
This is with the MiniBrowser in the editor mode. If you tell me the editor mode there is not supported, than I'm fine with it, but just in case:
a) open the MiniBrowser in the editor mode
$ /usr/libexec/webkit2gtk-4.0/MiniBrowser --editor-mode
b) select some text in the browser, can be two words or such from this bug report
c) Alt+Tab to MiniBrowser
d) position mouse cursor somewhere down, above the body area
e) press the middle-button on the mouse, it pastes the text
f) press the middle-button again and again and again and....
Not every click adds the text to the body. When I wait for two seconds or such, then I can press the middle button and it'll paste the text again. It seems the more delay I do between consecutive clicks the more likely it is the text will be pasted. When I press the middle button like once or twice per second, then it's rather unlikely that the text will be added.
I cannot reproduce this with Ctrl+V/Shift+Insert, only with the middle-button.
