            Bug ID: 186313
           Summary: 2 Factor Auto Fill
           Product: WebKit
           Version: WebKit Nightly Build
          Hardware: Unspecified
                OS: Unspecified
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Forms
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
          Reporter: chris at heavymark.com
                CC: cdumez at apple.com, wenson_hsieh at apple.com

This may need to be decided by Apple versus Webkit but otherwise wanted to mention here as well.

Of the announced features in Safari 12, SMS Auto Fill is one of my favorites. I've been hoping for it for years. Since for instance Twitter requires insecure SMS 2 factor authentication rather than using an app, I'm constantly copying and pasting their codes into the login page. With the new feature, macOS automatically grabs the code from iMessage and then automatically shows a dropdown on the form field so in one click you can prefill. Fantastic! If only it also works with Apple's own 2 factor notification but that's another story.

So my thought is why not go all the way and have it work with traditional app based 2 factor as well such as Dropbox, Google, and most every other large provider. While some people use Google's app, or Authy, 1Password does it well so that when you login to a site with 1Password it automatically copies the generated code into your clipboard allowing you to paste and login and then it's removed from your clipboard. Would love to see the same in Webkit/Safari Preview/Safari Mac/Safari iOS.

This maybe more something that needs to be developed in Keychain rather than Webkit, but with the introduction of SMS Autofill in Safari which I presume will come to Webkit, wanted to suggest this.
