This also works fine for me, with all of:

 - Eolie 0.9.0 + WebKitGTK+ 2.16.6
 - Epiphany 3.24.3 + WebKitGTK+ 2.16.6 
 - Epiphany 3.26.0 + WebKitGTK+ 2.18.0
 - MiniBrowser + WebKitGTK+ from trunk

So I suspect there is something going in the setup of the reporter.
Please check that you don't have some plugin in Eolie that is doing
something that prevents the Twitter login from working.
