            Bug ID: 176775
Summary: [GTK][Wayland] Flickering when entering accelerating
                    compositing mode
           Product: WebKit
           Version: WebKit Nightly Build
          Hardware: Unspecified
                OS: Unspecified
            Status: NEW
          Keywords: Gtk
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: WebKit Gtk
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
          Reporter: cgarcia at igalia.com
                CC: bugs-noreply at webkitgtk.org, magomez at igalia.com,

This only happens in Wayland or at least it's only noticeable in Wayland. It can be reproduced easily by showing the overlay resources on a page without AC (because the overlay requires AC). In X11 you just see the overlay appear on top of the current page. In Wayland you see a black page for a while and then the whole page again with the overlay on top. It's even easier to reproduce if you run MB under valgrind just to make things slower. It seems that when entering AC we render one or two frames as full-black, then sometimes another one only with the overlay, and then we render the one with the current page contents.
