OK, so that was a false alarm... we should probably focus on the error message:

PlatformDisplayWPE: could not create the EGL display: EGL_SUCCESS.
Cannot create EGL context: invalid display (last error: EGL_BAD_PARAMETER)

Seems safe to conclude that there is a bug in the EGL setup code somewhere. Also,  from the EGL_SUCCESS, I conclude there is a bug in Adrian's error message patch. ;)
