            Bug ID: 178320
Summary: html form does not trigger virtual keyboard on a touch
                    linux laptop
           Product: WebKit
           Version: Other
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: WebKit Gtk
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
          Reporter: frederic.parrenin at univ-grenoble-alpes.fr
                CC: bugs-noreply at webkitgtk.org

I use the epiphany 3.22.7 browser on debian 9 (webkit 2.16.6).
I have a touchscreen on my laptop.
The problem is that when I go to an html form (e.g., wwww.google.com) and touch a text entry, the gnome virtual keyboard does not appear.
I reported the bug with respect to epiphany: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=788983
The virtual keyboard does appear when I touch the address bar, though.
