Yeah, I'll try that first. If that doesn't solve it, I'll do a "bisect" of the moduleset by removing different sets of modules until I figure out what's causing it.

I have mesa 17.2.4-2.fc27. The only newer version is 17.2.5. I doubt building that would help. I was thinking I might need to build an *older* mesa, because perhaps WPE only worked with older mesa, until I realized that EGLGetDisplay did not work at all inside the WPE JHBuild.
