bug with variation intermediate instances

I have the same issue to report.

I tried breaking down the problem to the most simple case, and it only occurs when I add an intermediate instance in the variation font.

e.g. A variation font with weight axis:

Thin Font wght=100 (minimum)
Regular Font wght=400 (default)
Black Font wght=900 (maximum)

This works just fine, as shown in the image (left column).
The grey HHH are delta location/variation, showing fine.

When I add these same intermediate delta but as instances in the variation font
Light Font wght=300
Medium Font wght=500
Bold Font wght=700

I get this bug with metrics and weight (right column)
You can see the Bold instance is bolder than the Black maximum, and the width is larger too.

Both variation font are showing fine in FontView app.

I am happy to share the demo fonts if it can help!

Thanks.
