            Bug ID: 174568
Summary: Concern about negative impact from new cookie changes
           Product: WebKit
           Version: Safari 10
          Hardware: Unspecified
                OS: Unspecified
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: WebKit2
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
          Reporter: chris.nicotra at nielsen.com

Since cookies are typically used to preserve a user's opt-out, it seems like Safari's need "privacy" enhancements will have a strong negative impact from the standpoint of user's having the option to optout, since optout cookies will be removed. Is there some provision to retain the optout?

For the activity retention to work, does the cookie need to be refreshed (reset) on a regular basis?

/Chris
