Not sure how you get to that conclusion, but you are the expert O:)

In a pure GNOME on Wayland session, I've been able to reproduce the same behavior with the Debian system packages for testing:
mesa: 13.0.6-1+b2
drm: 2.4.74-1
WKGTK: 2.16.3
Ephy: 3.22.7
libwayland-server0: 1.12.0-1
libweston-1-0: 1.12.0-3
Linux xxxx 4.9.0-3-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.30-2 (2017-06-12) x86_64 GNU/Linux
