Then we know the problem is not related to OpenGL. As Adrián mentions, it has to be something in X.
It would be great if you could run the browser inside a Wayland sesion, as Adrián mentions. You can also try to do it inside a Weston instance on X, but I guess a problem in X would affect that rendering as well.
