            Bug ID: 171292
Summary: If the media stream is muted when the host application
is in the background, the media stream will resume
when the host application enters the foreground.
           Product: WebKit
           Version: WebKit Nightly Build
          Hardware: Unspecified
                OS: Unspecified
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: WebKit API
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
          Reporter: agold at apple.com

Because the media stream has been cut off by the system when the app enters the background, muting the page while the host application is in the background does not properly update the state, and therefore when the app re-enters the foreground the media stream becomes unmuted.
