I tried to make it work in Safari by trying stuff in Inkscape, in the font file itself (SVG source), and using FontForge. No luck.

It wold be great if Safari could render the shadows correctly,
as do Chrome and Firefox.

Safari renders the glyphs correctly
(see http://tobireif.com/centerslate/ -> the smaller version),
so it could also render the shadows correctly.
