That's not the bug I'm talking about, and you're right, that's not a bug at all. That's an "untrusted" certificate error.

I'm talking about the SNI host name. You'll run into the certificate error if the certificate isn't set up to use the trailing dot, but even if the certificate does designate the trailing dot as being part of the domain to use, the SNI host name *must not* contain the trailing dot. If you tell your browser to load the website even with the "untrusted" certificate, you'll see the server error that's caused by the malformed SNI host name.
