HTML document which is a 2-column document that does not print correctly in Safari 9.1.

When I go to print a multi-column page (in this particular case, a 2-column document), the Print Preview shows only one column. If I choose either "Open in PDF Preview", or "Save as PDF..." [on OS X 10.11, Safari version: 9.1 (11601.5.17.1)], the document is formatted as a single-column (1-column) document.

In contrast, Chrome [Version 49.0.2623.110 (64-bit)] and Firefox (Version 42.0) get this right. The resulting preview and PDF is a 2-column document with correct column breaking (column flow) and correct page breaks when there is no room for another item in the second column of a page.

Attached are the HTML source, and "Save as PDF..." output from the cited versions of Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. (It looks as though I'll need to attach the comparative outputs in subsequent comments.)
