Bug ID: 149925
Summary: Loading a large SVG file (40.000 rectangles) causes
Safari/Webkit/Webview to freeze for 4-5 minutes
Classification: Unclassified
Product: WebKit
Version: Safari 9
Hardware: Unspecified
OS: Mac OS X 10.11
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: P2
Component: SVG

40.000 rectangles SVG
Loading a file just 1/4 that size (10.000 rectangles) takes about a second. Also, loading the 40.000 rectangles in Chrome takes 2-3 seconds.
This affects Webkit, Safari and any application using the Webview component.
