            Bug ID: 144911
Summary: Installation of cygwin fails "No packages found" Win
                    8.1 64 bit
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 528+ (Nightly build)
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows 8
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Tools / Tests
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
          Reporter: thomas.brodt at porabo.com

I have set up a new clean computer with windows 8.1 64 bit to build Webkit. I downloaded the cygwin-installer according to the docs at http://www.webkit.org/building/tools.html.

When I launch setup.exe, I enter C:\cygwin as path to install to, and the download path as local directory to install from.
The package list in the next step is empty, with a message "no packages found". Proceeding doesn't install anything.

I found a solution here:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27080690/build-or-compile-webkit-on-windows7-64bit

to copy the setup.ini into the x86 directory and relaunch the setup.exe. Now the installation lists the packages and the installation continues.

Maybe someone could fix this bug because this makes the installation impossible at a very early stage.

Thanks

Thomas
