However, I agree in principle that it would be good of the Webkit team to reconsider...as it stands http://patrickhlauke.github.io/touch/tests/results/#suppressing-300ms-delay iOS is the only mainstream mobile browser which does NOT optimize away those 300ms when width=device-width, and the only browser that still requires developers to use solutions like fastclick.js
