It seems that the same issue has been fixed in Blink - https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=346613

Would it be possible to port it to Webkit? This issue requires from editor developers one of the most tricky hacks I've ever seen, so that would be a big relief if we could finally remove it.
