This isn't a good general suggestion because workflows on top of git differ so much. For instance, this suggestion requires that a) master have no additional changes on it, and b) that every commit on a given branch be destined for a single commit in SVN.  You can already do what you're after by passing the right arguments to prepare-ChangeLog. If they're arguments you always want to pass then I'd suggest setting up a shell alias or similar.
