Borders much too wide

This bug was first posted on midori's launchpad bug tracker, but it affects other browsers too.

All the input fields (checkboxes, radio, text, password, selects) on a webpage that does NOT set the border with CSS will be far too large, approx 20px wide.

Attached are screenshots of this problem.

I'm running XFCE 4.10 on Arch Linux (up to date packages, WebKitGTK 2.2.3.1). I first tought it was a GTK theme problem, but it seems that even with the default xfce theme, this problem exists.

This problem is shown on Midori and "Surf" web browser (surf.suckless.org). Theming with userstyles solves the issue, but only with the "!important" at the end, thus theming all the forms borders, even those who do not need to be.
