Well, --enable-fast-malloc=no doesn't seem to have made a difference, wondering if it is because in http://trac.webkit.org/changeset/142179
WTF_SYSTEM_MALLOC is defined as 1, but USE_SYSTEM_MALLOC is what appears to be checked for in the source code.  

Perhaps this was an incomplete patchset.

Trying again now with CPPFLAGS+= -DUSE_SYSTEM_MALLOC as well.
