Inline SVG with a filter applied may have paths disappear by default, the issue is compounded when the page is zoomed to a larger size. Certain paths may randomly disappear. This is occurring specifically with a combination of the feOffset, feColorMatrix, and feBlend filters. See http://joeyhoer.com for an example.
