Summary: Deleting password at bottom of large page causing 100%
CPU
Product: WebKit
Version: 528+ (Nightly build)
Platform: Macintosh Intel
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.6
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: Forms
AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
ReportedBy: sbaronda at emergeinc.com
When deleting all the text in the password field either by command-delete or command-a delete, it causes the system to use 100% CPU for about 15 seconds.
I have only noticed this for password type field and when they are at the bottom of a large page.
Deleting works fine when you do one character at a time but fails when you try to select all and then delete.
I know that my HTML doesn't verify, but looking at the verification report it doesn't seem like it would make the system use 100% CPU
This might or might not be related to 79815. HIs/Her version didn't hang when I did command-delete, so I figured a new bug report was needed. It could also be because his version is a lot smaller than mine.
