Open timeline tab, start recording.  Using Chrome 20, the Web Inspector crashes after about 45 seconds of recording for reasonably sized processes (encountered using Gmail on Chrome).  Not sure when the problem was introduced, but this does not appear to reproduce on early versions of Chrome 19.
