An HTML file that demonstrates the problem

This is based on issue 138434 in Chromium:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Try to display HTML with an Arabic word, part of which is in a separate element.

What is the expected result?
That letters would be joined (connected).

What happens instead?
Letters are disjoined at the border of the element.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
