SVG animations do not support the wallclock syntax: http://www.w3.org/TR/SMIL3/smil-timing.html#Timing-WallclockSyncValueSyntax

As a result the SVG Menorah (http://jeremybmerrill.github.com/menorah) requires a huge amount of brittle javascript :(
