Not sure. It always happens when I select a feed. It happens with all default feeds. Favicons and other things are rendered correctly, though.

It looks like it crashes when it tries to initialize a webkit view at all.

I'll experiment around a bit to see where the problem is. Can you already say if this might be a webkit problem at all? As I said, I'm neither a liferea dev nor have I ever used webkit.
