When searching for memory leaks in JavaScript application, besides looking at VM memory usage, it's also worth looking at DOM subtrees (and other related objects like CSS, XHRs) from native heap that are being held from JS side. JS wrappers are usually small and doesn't attract much attention. But if it will be visible that a small JS wrapper holds a 1000-nodes tree, a developer will be able to see a problem here.

See https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53659 for a sample implementation.
