I could stop the loading before the end of the file was reached and, although it's slow to load, to me it behaved as expected given the limitations of webkit1 (single-process).

Linux, Webkit trunk 79900, qt-4.7.2+

As a side note, on Firefox 3.6.13, the browser was stuck (irresponsive) waiting for the whole file to be loaded and on google-chrome (9.0.597.98-74359) it loads most of the file before I'm able to stop it (that means: the "lag" is there as well), but it indeed "feels" a bit faster than QtTestBrowser (as expected).

So for me it's working as expected and I would like to close it as WORKSFORME. Objections?
