ui->webview->setCursor(Qt::WhatsThisCursor);

Does not seem to do anything.

QApplication::setOverrideCursor(Qt::WhatsThisCursor);

does work also on webview.

I'm not sure what version of webkit is inside
QtSDK/Desktop/Qt/473/gcc/lib/libQtWebKit.so.4.7.3 

but that's what I'm using.
