The URL is now displaying as intended on Uzbl build 20110118 running on the latest developmental release of WebKit Gtk, release number 1.3.10.  However, the XHTML test page has been uploaded as application/octet-stream and does not display in Uzbl.  The XML test page displays as a blank page in the release of Uzbl mentioned here.
